Packaging & Transport
Aral Chemicals has 2 reefer containers (40’ high cube) with double cooling systems suitable for road and sea transportation of organic peroxides.
- Organic peroxides are classiifies as 5.2 Oxidizers.
- Transportation is made with refrigerated trucks or special reefer containers.
- Transportation of some peroxides by sea are prohibited.
Packaging & Transportation
According to international transportation rules, organic peroxides are classified according to a series of tests in a flow chart. The outcome of the flowchart determines the hazard of the peroxide and provides maximum package size.
The group is labelled as O (Oxidizing agent) additional other symbols such as corrosive (C), extremly flammable (F+) or explosive (E) could also used according to the property of peroxide.
The closure of packages are special vented caps which allows gasses but do not leak.If the size of package is big usually a bursting closure is required. The size is calculated according the the volatility and pressure build up of peroxide.
International transportation regulations distinguish between 7 types of organic Peroxides. TypeA to G.The transportation regulations prescribe the maximum size, type and material of packagings allowed for each type of peroxide.

Precautions for safe transportation
(1) Containers of liquid organic peroxide must be handled and transported with the top side up. Laying a container on its side or upside down is not permitted for safety assurance.
(2) During transportation, containers must be sheltered from direct sunlight.
(3) Careful handling and transportation are required for organic peroxides, to avoid friction and vibration, or dropping and falling.
(4) Loading and unloading work for organic peroxides must be carried out at a place without igniton sources. Smoking is prohibited during handling work.
(5) The temperature required for organic peroxide during transportation must be maintained.
